Hili Land Port at a Glance

  • Land Port Hili is located in the Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal along the international border between India and Bangladesh.
  • The major commodities exported via LCS Hili are onion, wheat, M.O. cake, N.B. rice and maize. The major commodities imported are P. cerates, S.C. molasses, C.R.B. oil, non-edible sugarcane molasses.
  • Land Port Hili is located in close proximity of National Highway (NH)- 512 which is approx. 4 kms away. While the nearest railway station is located at Balurghat, a new railway line is also proposed to connect the station to Hili.
  • The status as of September 2021 is that LPAI has prepared the Detailed Project Report and has identified 80 acres of land for development of the Land Port . The State Government of West Bengal has been requested for initiating the process of Land Acquisition.
